Questions for the nextmoderator session

The core results of the computer-based consultation conducted during the conference in Berlin can be clustered in the following areas:

General Criticism / Challenges
- Lack of diversity and integrative power for different perspectives
- Dominated by personal prestige and by institutional competition
- Too centered on the Northern and Western culture (USA and Europe)

Urgent Tasks
- Create a process to intensify cooperation between organizations and initiatives
- Involve as many young people as possible in the global processes and activities
- Organize professional and effective funding to cover financial requirements

Promising Projects - To start a platform and a process for the global participation of many people (you and me)
- To use emotional resonance effects (art, music) to mobilize large number of people
- To organize and facilitate regional meetings and local support groups (expert and leaders)

Condensed results of the Berlin nextmoderator session

Out of these responses we have started a working process with the provisional title “Coalition for the Global Commons”. of its purpose is to contribute to building a peaceful and sustainable world by combining our collective intelligence towards a global consciousness. That means we intend to determine how to share our knowledge and work in networks intelligently organized to support each others activities. We all know that such a process is seldom straightforward. But it is also a learning curve and a challenge we chose to face together.

Daniel Dahm and Rudolf zur Lippe invited to the meeting in Hude.
On October 26th, 2008 at the Monastery Hude Meeting, the Global Marshall Plan Foundation was asked to hold leadership for the process. The Global Marshall Plan Foundation sees its role as catalyst, providing servant leadership to the process. The ownership or the process is shared by all members of the Coalition for the Global Commons which are building the platform together.
